This place is on the take,i called about a guy with a backhoe dredging,removing soil from a channel called carpenters channel.He was scooping it out and putting it in his yard for his boat launch and his neighbors.I waited till fox waterway got their and the guys were buddys looked liked they hugged and he went back to dredging after he left.I no for a fact you need a permit to touch anything on the water,dnr contacted agreed with me.I went back and asked to see his permit and he threatened me-lives on Livingston rd I agree ... read more
On Sunday, June 30th, even though the river was no wake, boats were creating damage to piers just about under water!!! Why not just close when there is no one available to patrol until 2:00 PM??
The operator at this agency was discourteous and sarcastic with me on the phone. I had simply inquired about the acquiring a day pass to canoe on the Chain O Lakes waterways (though I think it s absolutely ridiculous anyone should have to pay \$15 a day to use their own canoes on public lakes and rivers), and I was treated like a nuisance and as if the answers to my questions should be obvious. We opted not to take the trip out to Chain O Lakes State Park after receiving such a cold welcome.
When the lakes are approaching flood stage, how can you only update the website weekly? Where are people to go for current information on the conditions of the waterways. Poor.
