The Fountains at Greenbriar is a rare find in Independence! My 92-year-old mother lived here for five years until November 2025, and she loved every minute of it. The Executive Director is incredibly attentive, keeping the residents' physical safety and spiritual well-being at the forefront of everything she does. I am extremely disappointed by the way my grandfather was treated at The Fountains at Greenbriar. The boss claimed he was “not cooperative,” but what I witnessed was disrespectful and openly racist behavior toward him. My grandfather is a Vietnam veteran who served this country and deserves basic dignity and respect. No veteran, or any person, should ever be treated this way. My mother moved into the fountains at the ending of April 2025. She loves the Fountains. I stayed with her for three days when she moved in. The food is AMAZING, every employee that I had stopped to talk to was caring, truly nice and helpful. The VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES is really more than one person can do and not be wore out. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!
My grandfather lived here after my grandma had a stroke. The fountains were so welcoming to him and helped him adjust to his new living situation. The director, Terry, is wonderful! When my grandpa needed a higher level of care she was understanding and helped me get that for him. She really cares about the people that live there!
