I can’t say enough good things about this place. I moved my mom here from a place up north of the river about six weeks ago. She loves it. The food is great, the employees and residents are genuinely friendly and happy. The residents are heard and well taken care of. They do a walkthrough in the evenings to make sure the door sign is out indicating the resident is in for the night and also a walkthrough in the morning to make sure the sign is opposite showing they are out and about. Love this place for my dad. He went through a difficult time. .Memory care, hospitalization, nursing homes, etc. He came here in hopes he could handle Independent living. They have so many resources that helped him heal and become self sufficient. Caring staff, beautiful bldg. , updates on bldg, and most important they answer the phone and help you through rough times.Terri is amazing along with all of the staff. Oh, by the way, dad is very happy with the food.
Can't wait to go there and see if it is like they say it is!
The Fountains at Greenbriar is a rare find in Independence! My 92-year-old mother lived here for five years until November 2025, and she loved every minute of it. The Executive Director is incredibly attentive, keeping the residents' physical safety and spiritual well-being at the forefront of everything she does. I am extremely disappointed by the way my grandfather was treated at The Fountains at Greenbriar. The boss claimed he was “not cooperative,” but what I witnessed was disrespectful and openly racist behavior toward him. My grandfather is a Vietnam veteran who served this country and deserves basic dignity and respect. No veteran, or any person, should ever be treated this way.
