I would not recommend working with Fortess Bank which uses Compass Mortgage as it's affiliate or brokerage. To begin with they're not interested nor care whether you close on the mortgage or not. At first I couldn't understand this as they must have some vested interest in helping their customer. Worked with Hank Abrahamzon at Compass Mortgage and it was absolute nightmare. I would strongly recommend that you not do a mortgage with this bank. I did because my trusted mortgage lender happened to be working for them at the time. He has since moved on, but unfortunately I can move my mortgages because of the interest rates. So first off Fortress systems are terrible. You cant make payments through your account , you cant change anything through your account and the only way to make a manual payment is to do it from the generic payment portal.
