I've flown every airline that FWA services since about 2015. For an entire decade, flights are consistently late departing, most frequently because flight crews arrive late. To be clear, flight crews typically stay at one of a small handful of hotels in downtown Fort Wayne, which is a VERY short drive away. I will be sucking it up and flying in and out of either Detroit or Indianapolis from now on. I would rather make a 2-3 hour drive than have delayed flights.
Nightmare to travel through this airport. Understaffed and the planes sent there need maintenance.
Security streamlined, always appreciated that here. Parking lot always nearly full. Nice if you catch a shuttle driver. Food options....poor, 20 min to get an overpriced, not-great breakfast sandwich. Used to be better! Airport not staffed to deal with winter conditions....sat on runway over 1 hour/late departure due to 1 inch of snow/de-icing. Potable water truck "frozen" in 26F temp so no water on plane.
