I was called in to provide support and training for Misha, the resident therapy support dog at Forest Valley Terrace—and what I witnessed was something special. This place is horrible! My aunt has been there for a month and she is dying. They haven’t brushed her teeth in a month and they don’t give her 3 meals a day nor have washed her face. She has bed sores from not changing her. We pay 10k a month for this service and there excuse is they’re short staffed. Complete terrible service. Do not take your loves ones here. My aunt is in palliative care at forest valley. We were promised dignified end of life care and we were told that forest valley has exceptional care. However her basic needs are not being met. Her call bell doesn’t work. There is no phone line in the room and there are always short staff down to one person per floor. Today for example I arrived at 11:20 and she hadn’t even been fed breakfast. No one came to change her diaper, check on her, wash her face, brush her teeth or change her clothes. Thank you Forest Valley Terrace for the incredible care of my aunt and uncle! Glenese (staff) insured my aunts transition from the hospital to Forest Valley Terrace was seamless. Their kindness, professionalism, genuine compassion and exceptional care is evident in everything they do. They even celebrated their anniversary by decorating the room and having a cake. We are grateful for Forest Valley Terrace!
My Mom has been at Forest Valley Terrace for almost 2 years. Initially it was difficult for her to leave her own house, and there was an adjustment period. But the staff gave our family the support we needed and gave mom the space to grieve for this big change. After a month she was feeling much better, and she has come to feel very much at home there.
