This facility used to be called Forest Lake Lodge. After I left a review in 2019, this aged care facility was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and its poor management team led to the departure of many excellent personal care staff. The staff in the Memory Retreat are amazing. They are so kind to the residents. It must be the most challenging place especially in the afternoons during the sundowners and when the clients are the most confused but the staff are always upbeat and supportive. I have noticed there has been an increase in residents and dinner time is such a challenge for them. I can not imagine how hard it would be getting the residence dressed mornings and night when most are incontinent and confused. I am a CNC so redognise good care. They d... read more

We have recently had out mother admitted as a full-time resident after caring for Mum at home for 9 years. it was very hard for the family to entrust Mum's care to someone else or to an aged care facility. Our mother has settled in very well, the staff are lovely, friendly, welcoming and caring. Anit Sethi as the admissions co-ordinator ensured the transition to a care facility was seamless. This specific aged care is where my dad is currently and was abused by one of there staff named acbul not a good look on yous. I will make sure that this matter is elevated as no one wants to hear there parent being treated where they should be helping them.
