I highly recommend Foos-Garvin and Shelby in particular. She was extremely thorough and took the time to really talk through and explain things to me without making me feel bad for not knowing. I had some complicated issues due to mistakes made by a former employer and I'm confident everything was managed correctly.
I have been disappointed. As a new S Corp owner a year ago, I trusted Foos-Garvin to help me understand tax needs and do my taxes right. Here were the issues: - They were unable to explain basis to me. I typically learn things easily (and I understand basis now) but at the time, nothing Jared said made sense. - I kept asking WHY my basis was so different from the cash I had, and they were unable to answer this very basic question.
