I brought strawberries from here. It tasted weird. To wash it, I kept in water for some time. I always do that. To my surprise, the water turn pink after some time and the strawberries developed white patches on it. What is this?

That store is extremely nasty I saw the biggest rat I ever saw in my life.. in the middle of the day it was very comfortable walking around the store... the health dept needs to step in asap...
Worst store ever. Lines are 20 deep. An hour or more to check out is ridiculous. I'm looking for a better store to shop at.
