If you plan on working here and somewhere else forget it the manager only likes to give the employees the minimum hours. He won’t accommodate another job as if foodmaxx is the dream career and pays great. Which it is isn’t and does not. They run the store so poorly if it weren’t for all the senior employees I don’t know how they would operate. As for the clerk helpers the manager doesn’t care to train so they can move up. just bought sunny select beef broth 32oz carton. safty seal was broken. called to inform them, was put on hold for 20 min. so I hung up. Food Safty isnt a priority I guess.

The employees are always really wonderful from the produce, deli, checkouts and sales floor everyone has always been very helpful. The downfall of the Food Maxx on Ben Maddox is the lack of security in the parking lot and many times people have been allowed to camp out near the soda machine or the water refill machine outside. I can come and go but the people there who are working should feel more safe when walking outside their place of employment.
I was turned away at the door literally 5 mins to close. Fun fact they don't close at 12, they close at 11:55. But they advertise 12. Also when I told them that I only needed formula for my kid they told me, "I don't care, we are closing". Dude who works security really needs to understand that when you close at 12, that means 12. Not 11:55, not 11:59, but 12. I can't believe I was literally turned away, after expressing that I needed food for my child. The people who go there are trashy so the management treats the whole place the same. In the summer it's hard to buy anything from the open freezer section because it's placed by the front doors and they don't keep their air conditioning on so lots of things partially defrost then partially refreeze and fall apart or taste like crap.
