Why would a grocery store open at 9am? I can buy a cell phone and pick up a blunt before I can get eggs and milk? I go here all the time. Decent prices and close by. The staff could be friendlier as I believe in 4 years of shopping here I have been spoken to zero times.
Nothing at this store is fresh. Typically if you buy a container of berries or a bag of onions, potatoes, pretty much anything, it is either on the verge of turning or half of it already has. The meats are always a questionable shade of gray with an odd dried out texture. Most goods in the store look like they've been purchased at Safeway and then tacked on an extra 40 to 60%. I visited Food Fair recently to check out their beef cuts, and I was concerned with the quality of some of the meat. I noticed that certain beef cuts looked darker than usual, with some even appearing to have greenish spots and what seemed like mold.
