A great shop, compared to other Food Basics stores I've been in. Clean, good discount pricing, the experience of shopping is great.
I love the prices. But I have recently gone to purchase a few items and the cashier guy had really bad oder. I had to hold my breath and put hand sanitizer. Good highgean should be requiered when dealing with food.
Their specials are amazing! But usually out of stock within a few hours. Produce is good some days, and not so good other days. My biggest pet peeve is very few check outs are open forcing you through self check out. Even today. There were 8 people lined up in front of custmer service check out. Self-checkout had six people inside, and another seven people waiting outside to get in. There was only one other checkout open with four full check out buggies behind it. I have recently started shopping at your store. I find it clean and has good prices. What I really want to comment and applaud is a young lady cashier by the name of Michelle. Michelle took customer service to a new level. There was a senior who has a breathing apparatus who was cashing out on Michelle’s desk. She took the extra time to bag the man’s groceries. She assisted the customer with care, respect and was very polite. Well done Michelle! BTW a raise would be good to for Michelle
