I started making homemade pizzas about 6 years ago. My 1st oven was an Ooni and I quickly graduated to a Gozney dome which I had for over 5 years. Gozney actually replaced the 1st dome because the stone cracked and they were not replaceable at the time. I made the decision to upgrade again last month because I wanted something bigger. These ovens are amazing. We use ours regularly to host parties. The kids always ask to cook pizza's for their birthday parties. We started with a smaller over and upgraded to a larger one after several years. We love it.
I've had my Margherita for little over a year now and love it! Not only is it great for pizzas, but I've roasted chickens, veggies, grilled steaks, and used it as an over for casseroles. It's amazing how versatile it is! A hand full of twigs or small pieces of kindling lit with a propane torch will produce at least a 600+ degree oven in less than 30 minutes. Is that too hot?
