I was considering bankruptcy in Jan of this year. I had a meeting with Ms Foley over the phone. The meeting lasted about ten minutes or so. The cost was $250. I'd thought the first meeting with a banruptcy atty was supposed to be free? Anyway, I showed up at her place of business, (Which was very hard to find. At least, for me, it was). I handed her $1,500 which was the cost of business that included that $250. I told her that I'd like to do a chapter 7, not a 13. Her response shocked me: "You may not have a choice. $250 fee for a phone call or meeting. Don't even call them it's not worth your time and possibly wasting extra money.
