I have found Focused Care in Waxahachie, Tx. to be a caring little jewel in the nursing home world. My son is in his 5th month of care there and I have found if you take the time to really communicate with them, they get their job done right. They want to take great care of their clients, but their success depends on families being involved in the process. I don’t recommend this place. It had my stepdad wait 6 hours to be changed, he’s disabled. They laughed at us for asking for a tv remote. The trashcan was full and hasn’t been changed. There was food all over the floor and giant pee puddle left there. The AC doesn’t work at all and the windows barely open to let some air in. When it does work there is only hot air. He hasn’t had an actual shower for about a month since he been here. We left clothes here for him to wear and the workers hasn’t put them on him at all. They have... read more

My mother in law is there, and she gets wonderful care. The place is clean every time we visit, and staff is so friendly to her and us. Just went to a Valentine Prom they hosted and seeing how the staff was with all the patients was so amazing. They really seem to care.

Awesome place. two months ago they ask me to give them a good review that says a lot about that build off top. Two months later this place showed they true colors. The DON Don’t know how to speak to her staff , they make up rule and don’t apply them accordingly. They treat the old staff better than then new staff they treat new staff like they not part of the team . They over work new staff so the old staff don’t have to work hard at all.
