If you have a truly serious and/or medically complex condition to deal with, then consider Dr. Gilbert. The value received for your money spent is over the top. My primary doc said that, if without regard to cost, I wanted the very best physical therapist in Northern Virginia, then I should see her. Fascinatingly, when I ran her name by my rock star surgeon, he just smiled, gave a knowing wink and a thumbs up. A world class competency and genuine caring that has no rival in my eighty years of injuries and surgeries.
I have met with John several times for various injuries and he has helped me to heal so I can get back to cycling and other activities I love doing as soon as possible. I am amazed at how quickly he can diagnose and find the problem areas - he hones right in on the sore and injured muscles. I appreciate how he takes the time to explain what he is doing, and why. I cannot recommend Focus Physical Therapy enough - Britta and John are simply amazing. I came in for pre-surgery PT (hip labrum tear) as my surgeon highly recommended Focus. Britta and John took the time to truly assess what my body needed and they developed a plan - turns out it was glute strengthening. After working together for about 6 weeks (PT twice a week and at home exercises) I was shocked at progress I made and that my pain went away.
