The person I worked with will be costing me a great deal of money in interest and significantly higher monthly payments. They first ignored my request to put down more than 20%, because they weren't sure I wanted to and decided not to reach out. When I found out they set it up for 20%, I asked about my request to put down significantly more, and was told I could make a large payment on the loan, after the first payment, to lower the monthly rate. Apparently, they didn't know that can't be done on a VA loan. Now they can help... read more
