Went to his store, a trash filled yard, rang doorbell. No response. Called phone number, he didn't even turn down his TV volume when we talked. Told him Yanmar part number for four nozzle kits I wanted. He asked me why I wanted them. Then he asked me who my mechanic was. I told him I was buying the parts so they would not be marked up by the mechanic I wouldn't choose. He then said he wouldn't sell me the parts, have a mechanic call him. Ended up buying from Shearwater marine, they were a pleasure to deal with by comparison.... read more
I do not know how anyone could make a negative comments, for this marine diesel dealer and machine shop. The owner is a hands on mechanic and machinist and Yanmar oracle. He has good parts stock, and will do anything possible to order parts, and immediatly, making calls, etc. on your behalf. Also he discusses and shares any applicable technical details, and methods for the work you are doing. Take notes, as he knows diesel and machine work backwards to forwards.
