Horrible customer service. My mortgage transferred to Flagstar. I received the notification letter AFTER my payment was due to my previous lender. Now Flagstar is saying I owe them a June payment and no one can tell me what happened to the payment I made to the previous lender for the June payment. Terrible process and customer service and Flagstar could care less. Avoid this company if at all possible.
Worst experience ever! I see now how many bad reviews they have but here’s mine…… I messed up and didn’t realize my payment went up so after two month I noticed and called to fix my mistake well the customer service agent gave me the wrong information and caused me several late fees(beyond the ones I already messed up) because of her bad information. Your bank has completely screwed up my mortgage and for well over a month, nothing has been done to fix it. I am told that no one there at Flagstar can fix the issue despite your team’s mistake.
I have two mortgages with Flagstar. I have been in the banking and financial industry for near 18 years and I am so sorry I ever did business with this bank. Their website is often down, they restrict payments on their website to make it harder for you to pay your loans down so that they can charge you more interest. I've tried to set up auto payment several times and it wont take it. If you call, people are nice, but largely incompetent if you ask then anything outside of their scripting.
