I think I will be closing all of my Flagstar accounts. I’m not quite sure yet. They keep buying other banks with corporate accounts as their goal and they keep taking away from the personal banking experiences. They closed the bank on Brown st. They closed one in Ann Arbor. They just keep taking away more and more from personal banking. They’re only open until 1pm on Saturdays and not all locations are open on Saturday. We previously had a mortgage with Flagstar. They bought our mortgage from the original bank that made the loan. We have since sold the house. Afterward, there was a refund due. They recently sent a letter about the check for this refund that we never received and that it will go to to the state as unclaimed if we don't respond. On the letter, it specifically says, "To avoid escheatment, please contact us or fill out and sign the notice below where required." So I contacted them via the phone number on the letter.
