I’ve been a member for many years. Five County has done nothing to help, each time I needed help. The first time was when my significant other passed away from stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I was denied a loan and forced to close a CD, with a penalty over $5,000. Another time I was stranded in Arizona and wanted to borrow off the remaining CD. After numerous calls and lack of experience and three days passing with no answers, I was again forced to close my CD, with a penalty over $2,000. fees All cu's have fees so get over it! Five county is open until 8 Monday thru Saturday, how many places offer that? If you don't like fees why don't you go try bank of America?
I have been happy with this CU. I don,t have any complaints and I like dealing with them more than my other credit unions or banks.
This credit union is absurd. Go to a smaller credit unioun as these guys act more like the large banks. Had more fees in a year with Five County then in 20 years of banking combined. Disgraceful really.
Small Bank with Big Heart The Five County Credit Union in Topsham is one of many branches around the area. This branch has a staff of friendly and helpful associates and very competent management. They go out of their way to be helpful and they try to get to know all their customers by name. The location is on a main road and very convenient and parking is ample. It is a pleasure to bank at Five County Topsham.
