As a concerned family member of a Fisk University student, I am deeply troubled by the way some of the administrative staff seem to misuse their positions of power. It’s becoming clear that certain staff members are more focused on creating unnecessary obstacles for students than supporting them in their academic and personal growth. When I attended Fisk ‘72’ it was the top rated HBCU which was always Fisk or Howard. With its history and contributions to African American History, being ranked 13th is unacceptable and I hope we return to where we should be. Also, I was one of the primary tenor soloist of the Centennial Fisk Jubilee Singers group.
