This WAS a great bank. They helped me navigate rebuilding after bankruptcy and had great service, I took pride in banking at a business headquartered right here in Lakewood and felt like I got better service so close to headquarters. They still have “best banking friends forever” branding up despite the fact that they’re disappearing and abandoning our community this summer, everything about this is bitterly ironic! I’ve been banking at First Bank for 36 years and am very sad about the bank being sold . I’m not sure of PNC … I do love the customer service at First Bank and hope they keep all the friendly staff as I know them and they are so helpful with all my banking needs.
FirstBank of Colorado for many years was an excellent bank. Last year, however, it is as if overnight they turned completely the opposite direction when they started preparing to sell the bank to PNC. At that time, they began behaving like Wells Fargo. Their customer service became cold, uncaring, arrogant, and inept. Their ability to properly manage even small amounts of money became astonishingly lacking.
