First State Bank, not only locally owned, is truly the "Hometown Bank" Even my grandma worked for FSB in the 70's Plus I have had them underwrite loans for my family in the 80's & 90's. I had the pleasure of working with Lori Maeder. She has been an amazing part of my home buying experience! She made sure we understood every step of the way. Do not get a mortgage through this bank YOU WILL REGRET IT ! They will try to sign you up with MSHDA and then the closing costs are so high that they literally depleted the whole point of taking MSHDA Loan. They don’t present everything in closing because you would NEVER sign it . Then try to say they did and harass you to sign LATER. Never sign anything after closing! Go to a credit Union they have unbelievable deals. AVOID this place you’ll can thank me later.

It was such a pleasure working with Annmarie Iacona. She is very professional and very knowledgeable and kept me updated for every step of the loan application. She was also very responsive, any time I called or messaged her she responded to me and was ready to help even in cases when it was other party to respond to my question/concern.
