Nothing good to say since bank changed to First Merchant Bank. Have had issue after issue. Many reasons we will be moving banks one is that it takes a long time for items to post to your account. Learned today that deposited checks can nolonger be available the same day unless it’s a first merchant check… just lack of customer service or care in providing service.

This is one of the worst banks that I have ever dealt with, only coming in second to BB&T. The employees there are nice but none of them know ANYTHING about ANYTHING. This bank is the poster child of incompetence

I never dreamed that another bank could be more incompetent than First Savings, but First Merchants has taken that challenge to a whole new level. Save yourself the time and use another bank unless you like constantly going to your local branch to get stuff straightened out... and you can forget about calling the 800 number, they are even more useless

Never had issue with the staff but since the merger to first merchants it's been nothing but issues. Didn't get debit card first branch couldn't print. So had to drive 30min to another branch. Available balance always changes. Better keep records yourself. One month checks go in early next month there late. Soon as my stuff is transfered I'm leaving. Can't use card at pump when there is plenty of money in account. Never had so many issues with until the merger.
