I'd give these guys an A for effort and a D for implementation. For a firm that prides itself on "quantitative investment", they sure do mess things up. See, the idea is to pick a strategy and stick to it, hell or high water. Well, that's not what they were doing. They picked a strategy, and then kind of changed it a little when things got rough.
