Bad customer service, difficult to get ahold of anyone I've had a perfect payment record for 5 years on both a mortgage and an auto loan. I paid off the loan, they sent the title in the mail, and it got lost. No problem, it happens. But because I had to spend an hour at the DMV and $53 for a duplicate title, I asked FNCU to refund the replacement fee since they have the opportunity to use certified mail. I,m very please with my service @ first northern credit union, always helpful when i need it.
I've used FNCU for banking, usually remotely, for 20 years. I very much liked the fact that I could join simply because I'm a resident in the FNCU service are. The few times I've had a problem, I've gotten good resolutions with a single phone call. Members get virtually the same services banks offer, but the rates are better, and the profits don't go into the pockets of C-level bank managers. The only services I need a bank for, as a senior, are green seal signature guarantees and notary seals, but I keep a small bank accoun... read more
