As a local business, The First has been wonderful to work with. They understand the rollercoaster that is owning a small company in Maine and do everything they can to work with you. I appreciate being treated like a person rather than a policy or a number.
They just shut down your card any time they feel like it whenever you make a normal purchase and then they claim it’s fraud alert! Yet they let ACTUAL scammers steal your money. I’ve had them shut off my card at least 3 times a month regularly without notice! It should be illegal!
Ordered about 6 items from a website I always order from (individual payments per item same site) and they shut my card down for fraud even though the most expensive item reached a little over $7. Its was around 1pm on a Saturday when this happened and it's happened before, but when I called they wouldn't/couldn't reactivate my card this time for some reason, when like I said they had before.!?
