I was a customer of this bank for nearly 20 years, going all the way back to when it was First State Bank, then First National Bank, and now Investar Bank. For most of that time, I had zero issues—until the latest transition. Since becoming Investar Bank, they’ve introduced fees on accounts that had been free for decades. UPDATE. The Market President called me today to discuss my concerns. How awesome is that? He genuinely cares about customers and followed up after contacting the branch. That goes a long way!
