The original Marcus Daly & Company Bank Building now houses the First Montana Bank. Excellent restoration work completed. The Marcus Daly & Company Bank Building at 123 Main Street was built in 1895 for Anaconda’s first bank, founded by Marcus Daly and W. L. Hoge. It was the primary financial institution in town for decades, featuring Romanesque architectural detailing, and later housed various commercial tenants; after restoration it again serves as a bank site today.
