My wife and I have multiple accounts here including the business account. Everyone that works at First Merchants are very helpful, friendly and it's a great place to do business with.
I recently had my debit card compromised and my bank was right on it!! Alerted me of the charges, cancelled my card immediately and was so fast in resolving my issue! Even opened a savings account for me & did my check reorder all in the same visit! Less than a half hour no less! Jess Brown was amazing and she needs to be recognized for her exceptional customer service!!

This bank tacked on a $322 “service fee” to a small atm business in order to drive out small business from Shelby County. I was with this bank for 2 years before they started charging this fee without my consent. Supporting this bank supports monopolization in Shelby County. If they find a way to excessively tax other small businesses, they will soon. Stay away if you’re trying to create passive income for yourself.
I had a check wrote to me and I went to the bank to cash it and they charge me $6.00 to cash it and the person had account there and the check had First Merchants Bank on it. The person that waited on me said I could open and account there and they would not charge me. Why would I want to open account there.
