If it was not so difficult to unwind all the automatic transactions, I would have left this bank long ago. I have dealt with many banks over the last 40 years, most all of which at some point were bought by another bank or merged with another bank. I have never experienced a more incompetent bank. I currently deal with four other financial institutions and never have the issues I have with this bank. So I opened an account with First Merchants because they are local and I was using their ATM anyway. I first tried to exchange $2000 worth of 20's for 100's and she said I need to open an account. Ok so I did. A week later I was due to go to Thailand and I thought I might take cash just in case. I withdrew $1800 and left some money in the account for a few autopay bills I have. Fast forward I am in Tokyo and can't sign in to my online account because it wants to send me an SMS for verification (Verizon phones don't work in ... read more

Hired in under the impression my late great uncle used to own the Pendleton Banking Company. He did not he was it's President. J.Howard Walker owned Pendelton Savings And Loan which was a Federal Bank.
