Most awful customer service. Drive thru on multiple occasions has taken 15 minutes to make a mortgage payment. Won't even come on rhe speaker at all..just let you sit there.
I received a check from a client who banks with first merchant bank. First Merchants not only REFUSED to cash the check, they refused to open a business account for me if they believed that I was only opening the business account to negotiate the single check. I would not recommend doing business with this bank since it is in capable of following the instructions of its clients.
