In full disclosure, I am not thrilled by First Merchants as a bank and have moved most of my funds to a larger bank that offers more perks, ATMs, and greater transparency as a result. I also would have closed my account here recently altogether before talking to Lisa, who is incredible. Lisa truly went above and beyond, and turned my whole day around with her kindness. Associates are ALWAYS friendly and go the extra mile for their customers. Miss Audra is always kind and handles my questions with ease. I live an hour away from the nearest branch and no matter who I speak with have never had any issues. Customer service on the 800 number is also top of the line. Thank you for being wonderful!
I had lost my wallet, along with everything in it, such as debit cards, credit card, photo IDs, and so forth. I went there to replace my debit card. Unlike my other bank, this bank required a photo ID, which I didn't have as of yet. They also didn't have a copy of my ID on file. My Social Security card and birth certificate weren't sufficient.
