If you are an ethnic minority or not part of upper middle class or above, do not go to this bank to do your banking. They are bias and treat people of lower classes or ethnic classes the worst. After receiving a check from my employer I went to Citizens to cash it. Well the teller told me after I gave her my ID she had to verify it .( I already cashed checks there before) she calls the number on the account gets a hold of the owner to verify they issued the check. He said yes he knew I was supposed to receive the check . but he has a book keeper who wrote the check she proceed to question him on the amount or check number Now how the hell is he supposed to remember check numbers the he personally didn't write but s... read more
This is the most horrible bank I ever tried I got a call from one of the employees of there asking me personal questions from my life and then I got very disappointed over the phone and she close my account without my permission which is illegal people there are so rude I can even put a case over this bank because the employee did things to my account without my permission
The tellers working the drive thru windows are very personable, however the bank manager is not personable and is rude. A couple years ago I was making a deposit in house and overheard her speak to a lady that had apparently had an issue with her account. She treated the lady as if she was not good enough to be a part of that bank because there was an issue. The branch manager had a nasty look on her face and you could tell the lady was quite embarrassed. Needless to say it really impacted me in a negative, uncomfortable way... read more

First Citizens is a great bank. The people at the downtown Hickory office are always courteous and professional. I have my personal account with them and two business accounts. I could not ask for a better bank.

They were very friendly and answered all of my questions upon my first contact with them.
