I would rate zero stars. Customer service was horrible. The LAST time I was in the branch, every one in line was getting hit with ridiculous fees. They wanted $8USD to cash a check from their own bank.
For some reason this bank can't keep a working ATM. Every time I go here there's something wrong with it. Then they won't let me withdrawl inside without ID, so I gotta go back and get that. I'd leave zero stars if I could!

Submitted an online mortgage application, and was prepared to make a substantial down payment in addition to an excellent credit rating. I received an automated response from First Citizens, thanking me for my application, and assuring me that someone would reach out to me shortly. I never heard another word from anyone in the First Citizens banking organization. Fortunately, I found a much better experience at one of First Citizen's competitors.
