I do not recommend for small businesses especially during a lengthy hardship. The fees are extremely high compared to other local options. Much like the Verizon customer service experience - we are just another number.

I have plenty of issues with First Citizens as an institution already, I won’t even begin on it in this particular review. The only reason I still bank here is because the tellers are always so sweet at the branches I regularly use (downtown Wilmington, on College Road, Knightdale, and downtown Raleigh branches to be specific) Usually very helpful, even when the institution itself isn’t.
