I recently needed personal banking help due to my father's recent death, requiring my first visit to a brick & mortar bank in several years. The First Citizens Candler manager, Jonathan Allred, competed several documents and changes quickly and knowledgeably. Jonathan was friendly and inviting, and volunteered helpful information. I appreciate the ease with which he facilitated unwelcome but necessary tasks. Recent encounters with different banks demonstrate that Jonathan is an exceptional officer, to whom I am grateful.
Went in to open an account, girl was nice and all no problem with that part,but was told I'd have to make an appointment to open just a simple checking account,that the woman was too busy to see me that day,made me feel they just wasn't interested...so I went straight down the road to Telco Credit Union,they took me right in and in less than 10 minutes I was done and ready to go! Great experience with Telco! I'll never try first citizens again, customer should come first,even potential ones
I am shocked, angry, and appalled at First Citizens' descent into arrogance, stubbornness, lousy customer service, and poor bank policies. They are stodgy, arrogant, and exhibit every sign of incompetence. We have never experienced such an unfriendly and unreasonable bank/branch. No one is ever friendly when we go to the lobby, except when we first opened our accounts. (That's why we hardly go there.) They charge fees even for depositing over $5k/month, which we have never heard before. Why do they penalize us when we lend our hard earned money for free!?
