I've been with First Citizens about 18 years. I love this institution but think it's now time to switch to a local credit union. I keep having to request new debit cards because of hackers over the last 3 years! I used to never have these issues. It's so inconvenient. Received another alert someone tried using my card again. My husband has been with his bank 30 years, local credit union & he's never one time had any issues.
I have had an account with First Citizens since approximately 1993 and my son and wife had a very disappointing experience. When my son was 18 he opened a checking account and the person that opened the account Kathy Turpin took advantage of my son and opened an account that he thought was free checking. Turns out I guess she got commission like Wells Fargo for an account he didn’t need. He ended up paying 12.00 a month because she took advantage of him.
