Great bank. Wonderful customer service. Big bank capabilities with small town bank service!!
Dealing with the local branch is always pleasant and easy. Unfortunately, when you call the customer service line or need to talk with someone at the cooperate office it becomes an absolute nightmare. Unfortunately, I have to deal with the cooperate office for things regarding my business accounts rather frequently. 5 stars for the local branch, 0 for the company as a whole
I signed up for a no fee checking account. The reality: First Citizens Bank has a multitude of fees buried in the fine print that they don't tell you about. Every time they blow their nose, they charge you a fee. In opening the account, they asked for my driver's license. I gave it to them, and told them the address on it was out of date. They sent a letter to the address, and when it was returned, charged me $12. They charged me a dollar to remove the money in the account.
