Great bank with very friendly staff. But if you ever want immeadiat access to your money dont bank here. I was out of town and needed more than the allowed $1500.00 and was treated like a child. It is absolutely ridiculous to prevent access to my money. Switching banks immediately when I return home.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with First Bank of the Lake has been so disappointing that I feel others should know. I opened a CD with them back in December, and from the start, the representative handling my account was uninformed and made countless careless errors on my paperwork, including listing my parents' address instead of mine, stating my occupation as a Mediocre Advsior as opposed to Medicare Advisor (although that mistake did make me laugh pretty hard), and listing the wrong name for the benef... read more

As a new small business owner, our experience with First Bank of the Lake has been excellent. There are many roadbumps for a small business - banking was surely not one of them. We are particularly thankful to Kimberly Koorman and Jonathan Kordahi for their promptness and solution-oriented approach. Thank you.
Celeste and the rest of her team at FBOL were instrumental in getting us through the SBA's very arduous process. As first time SBA applicants, we knew very little of the requirements, time elements, etc. They were always very patient and very quick to respond to the many daily questions we threw at them. Appreciate them so much and if we have another opportunity to work with them again, we plan to do so.
