Bad customer service!! I recently spoke to the Personal Banker, Melissa Jones, and inquired about accounts. She was rude and condescending and I don't know if she was new but she acted like she didn't know what she was doing. She called me by the wrong name twice even though I not only introduced myself but I corrected her after the first time. She seemed distracted and she acted like she didn't want to help me. I recently opened a checking account and Home Equity Line of Credit at the Cornelius branch of Select Bank. I feel fortunate to have had Melissa Jones assigned to my account, as I found her to be extremely knowledgeable of the HELOC application process and very prompt in communicating, whether by phone or computer. Melissa kept me informed as the approval process progressed, and knows me by name when I go into the branch, making me feel at home. Just another reason to favor a small local bank such as Select to the big banks.
