First Bank in Black Mountain NC received a windfall profit when, after the closing of the local branch of Truist Bank, many of those employees made the trek across Hwy 70. These ladies were the reason I banked with Truist (who made a monumental error in closing their branch) and now bank with First Bank! They provide exceptional, friendly service and work for an excellent state/regional bank offering virtually everything I have previously enjoyed with other banks.
While the local branch is nice the bank itself has problems. I have been asking them for a new debit card for three or four months now and haven't received it. Twice they have randomly stopped auto-payment on my car insurance without reason. Customer service is very unhelpful
Diane, the Personal Banker-Banking Officer at Black Mountain's First Bank, helped me with my account when my computer was hacked. With her knowledge, experience, and utmost patience she expertly walked me through the process of disentangling my mess when I was clearly stressed. Diane and the staff at First Bank are topnotch professionals with impeccable customer service.
