Me and my family have been with this bank for years but it’s getting to a point where I’m realizing that this bank doesn’t care about their customers. I’ve been trying to close my account with this bank for weeks now and they said no pending charges to close, I wasn’t allowed to close my account because I got paid last time. They charge $40 if you’re negative with a 24 hour grace period and give no courtesy calls. I was told that I shouldn’t leave my savings account empty or I’d be charged so I added $5. They will close your account for no apparent reason and lie about it
I had good experiences with First American over many years until Nov 19 when I was charged a $100 fee on my checking account for something called a "debit advice". It's not even on the schedule of fees that First American lists. This is a first. I never experienced something like this with other banks. George
