Great store and the owner is a pet lover as well. I have been coming back here for years now and I'm still amazed with the quality of their service.
Filthiest pet shop. – I think this is the filthiest shop in Richmoind. It never used to be, but the animal rooms are terrible. They don't have half as much animals as they used to. What animals they do have aren't friendly, and are in filthy cages. My daughter and I said something to a worker, but nothing was resolved. The ferrets have piles of waste in their cages along with flies, and the parrot cages look like they havent been scooped in weeks. The only thing this store seems to care about is puppies and money.
puppy mill vs. pet shop – I just want to clarify something. I work for Fin and Feather. We DO NOT buy from puppy mills. You can tell, obviously, when puppies come from puppy mills. They have "hospital" style collars on. Our puppies come from a few breeders, who choose NOT to advertise, because advertising puppies draws unwanted, questionable buyers. Do Not Shop Here – This store has started selling puppies. No reputable breeder sells to pet stores. 99% of pet store dogs are from puppy mills where the conditions are horrible. Please don't support pet stores that sell puppies.
Friendly service, great selection – This is an awesome pet store. I like to try to frequent locally owned places whenever possible, and I have started buying all my dog and cat food here. For one thing, they carry lots of the really good premium brands of pet food that grocery stores and even places like PetSmart don't carry, such as Wellness, Chicken Soup, Merrick, etc. But the best part is the friendly service. Pretty good pet supply store Honestly this store has a great selection of pet supplies, fish, snakes (GALORE), bunnies and hamsters -- the two live in cats are sweet and friendly -- the only issue I have ever had with them was when my rabbit had fleas and the person working recommended a flea product for cats that was NOT appropriate for rabbits -- after doing a little of my own research I found out what I could use, went back to the store and found the right item just fine --
