I have banked at 5.3 for many years but am making a change due to the fact that they never actually closed a business account and then notified my 1.5 years later that I had late fees and interest. While they admitted it was an error on their part when that banker did not close it out, they still said I was liable for those charges. I have a lot of auto credits and debits in our other accounts with them and it is going to take a lot of effort to switch banks, but that's how much I dislike them and distrust them now
Weekend branches should have accurate information. I deposited $1000 check and mentioned I was having car issues and asked if money be available Monday. I was told yes. Monday- car in shop and money not in account. I called my home location and was told it won’t show until Tuesday. What do I do now that car in shop. Called the actual branch to let them know education should be complete and the person talked to still did not know how the Advance money worked.
