What Natalie C. says above is true. I opened a Student Checking account for my daughter. I am the co-applicant on the account. After the initial small deposit made to open the account, we used Mobile Deposit to add a check drawn on my account at First Tennessee to her funds. Fifth Third placed a 10 day hold on my local check for less than $1,000 because the Fifth Third account was "new". Really? I've been a customer with Fifth Third for over 6 years and I couldn't be happier. They've always treated my husband and I with the utmost respect and have given us great advice on how to handle our finances with different life circumstances .... which ended up saving us money.
