I called ahead to schedule an appointment with a notary, and the representative asked what documents I needed notarized. After providing that information, I was given an appointment time. However, upon arrival, I was told the branch was understaffed and that the notary would require two witnesses. She checked briefly and then informed us that no witnesses were available, meaning I would need to reschedule. Very, very slow. If you are in a rush. Just go to a different location. Everyone always seems bored and has no sense of urgency. Also my banking details were not changed when i requested them to be and it took a whole second trip to have it corrected.
I haven't had many struggles with Fifth Third in the past but recently I had opened a new account with Jacob Lazarus and he seemed to know what he was doing but throughout the process of opening an account it seems as though he may be unorganized and need some mentoring before he works with customers again. Avoid 5/3. Glitchy app to start. Employees don't make it to meetings, and missing some fundamental features that every other bank offers, like viewing transaction history more than 6 months back, or exporting transactions as csv.
