After being a long-term customer, I am closing my account. I was disappointed to find unexpected minimum balance fees on accounts I didn't realize required them. Originally, I have never had a minimum. When I reached out, the bank was only willing to refund a single month. Additionally, I found their foreign currency exchange rates and service to be poor compared to competitors. Moving my business elsewhere for better transparency and service. I had heard negative things about Fifth Third Bank for years, but didn’t have personal experience until recently. I have to agree with these negative reviews. I plan to move to another bank though I have had this account for decades. I had a deposit returned last month over a ridiculous endorsement matter and then today the ATM would not even accept a check deposit. I have nothing good to say about 5/3 any more.
The worst branch I've ever dealt with.. I will go out of my way to not go back..Sat at the drive-thru windows for 15 minutes and got zero help.
