DO NOT GET A MORTGAGE FROM FIFTH THIRD. After obtaining our mortgage through Fifth their follow up regarding condo insurance is deplorable. They are incompetent, lie about attempting to contact insurance agents, and do not respond to messages. Should I ever need to refinance or obtain another loan, it will NOT be through Fifth Third. There are thousands of lenders who will do a better job with customer service AND offer lower rates.

I have a real estate Seller and the Buyer is using Fifth Third for their mortgage. We are about to terminated the contract as Fifth Third cannot seem to obtain a clear to close. This transaction is already beyond the original closing date AND the communication with Fifth Third is the worse I have seen in over 20 years of real estate transactions.
