My wife and I have just enjoyed a wonderful week at Field House cottage and it was perfect. Hazel and Steve are a lovely couple who make you feel so welcome and the accommodation and attention to detail is outstanding including an amazing four poster bed, log stove all kitchen fittings including microwave and dishwasher and the hot tub with views was superb. This has to be one of the best places I have visited, we traveled for a 6 week holiday from SouthEast Queensland, to friends and family, as well as touring the best places for sightseeing in the uk. We booked several hotels and lodges on the way and to be honest this was one of the most reasonable priced places we booked, but the standard of the cottage was amazing. Just starting our second time here, I could ramble on for a hundred or even a thousand words about Field House but quite simply it's the perfect place to stay if your after walks and peace and quiet. I've always felt there are so many different places to stay why keep returning to the same place but Field House has changed that. I can honestly say I intend returning here year after year till Hazel gets fed up of me. Lol
Stayed at the wonderful Field House cottage over Easter 2023 and had a marvellous week. Hazel and Steve are the perfect hosts. Steve even showed me a great route up a nearby hill 'Shepard's Crag' that I wouldn't have found. The hot tub and open fire are just fantastic touches to help wind down after exploring the Lakes. We would definitely book again!
